With a passion for art, design, architecture, photography and a few other obsessions thrown in the mix, this is a place to create and inspire! I’m Gerri, a native born Texan, living just northwest of Houston in a community called Cypress.  It’s beautiful here, very green with lots of tall pine trees.  It does get quite warm in the summer, but fall, winter, and spring are delightful!  Well, most of the time.  Today it is rainy and cold, but it is January.

An elementary art teacher by profession, my passion has been to create and to inspire others to be creative.  I find joy in reiventing spaces and planning my next endeavor.  I began this blog because it offers a creative outlet and I was interested in exploring and learning the technology.

I am also passionate about my home.  I strive to create a warm environment  to share with family and friends.  A favorite day is spent puttering around the house and creating cozy vignettes, or perusing antique shops looking for great finds to add to the ambiance of my home.

I take delight in entertaining friends and family in the home I share with my husband and our dog Bear.  It gives me great joy to share our many blessings with others.

I hope that you will join me and be inspired as I share about my home and family, entertaining, projects and where ever else this may take me!

Life is a journey! Enjoy the ride!

      1. I see that you have been nominated a second time for the same award. I certainly understand that it takes time to complete the acceptance blog, especially deciding on 15 others to nominate. Take all the time you need. I just think this is an excellent way to extend the blogging community.

I love to hear your thoughts and ideas!
